I write to you with a heavy heart, as recent events have brought much grief and pain. On ... (this summer), while returning to my place from ... after attending a pastors’ meeting, I, along with two fellow pastors, was arrested by the Railway Protection Force (RPF). We were carrying 100 Bibles at the time, intending to use them for our ministry, and were accused of attempting to convert people.

We were detained for 45 days, with our bail petitions being denied three times. However, by God’s grace, we were granted bail on ..., thanks to the intervention of the ... and human rights defenders. I was finally able to retrieve my mobile phone, purse, Bibles, and the 350 rupees that were taken during the arrest, after a special court order on .....

During this time, my phone was monitored continuously, though thankfully, they found nothing beyond pastoral messages. This experience highlights the suffering faced by many pastors, evangelists, and Christian workers, who endure false accusations and persecution. The current situation, fueled by a nationalist agenda, has led to hardship for many, with several believers and workers unjustly imprisoned. Although we are a minority, with limited resources and support, we remain steadfast in the Lord, determined to continue proclaiming the gospel.

These days have been especially hard on our families, who struggled in our absence and were unable to communicate with you, as my phone was confiscated. We humbly ask for your prayers for ourselves, our fellow pastors, and all believers facing persecution.

Thank you once again for your constant prayers and support, which encourage us greatly.
